Does each event that uses your school theatre have to re-hang and re-focus instruments specific to their event? Does this take up a lot of your time? Does this cause conflicts with the other events who need the lighting set another way?  Or can each event just enter the theatre expecting the lights to be already set for their needs?  You need a Rep Plot.

WHAT IS A REP PLOT?
A Rep Plot is a standardized lighting system, which is versatile for almost all performances and can be quickly and easily adapted to provide lighting for any event from class meetings, speakers, videos, variety shows, band and choir concerts to plays, musicals and dance recitals, while allowing for show-specific flexibility within a reasonable time frame. Having a Rep Plot alleviates the time consuming and sometimes costly process of starting each lighting design “from scratch” for each show or event.             Contact Us to find out how.

NEVER HAVE TO RE-HANG ALL YOUR LIGHTS AGAIN!

"I didn't know our lights could do that!" ~
~ “I’m pleased with the rep plot, and a few folks who have been around our theatre for years all feel it’s a big improvement over past practice. Thank you for your help with all of this… you definitely helped me get my head around this whole new world of hybrid lighting rigs.” ~

REP PLOT QUIZ
The image on which side best represents your lighting system?
AREA LIGHTING DISTRIBUTION
Picture
Does the layout of your current lighting look like the drawings on the left or the drawing on the right?
On the left are actual drawings from two high school theatre of where the light beams actually covered and the channel numbers that controlled each area.  There was no lighting plan, and over time instruments were just hung to fill in gaps in the light.  Which line drawing does your area lighting distribution look like?
LIGHT PLOT
Picture
Is the left image the extent of your light plot?  Or does it look more like this on the right or at the top of the page?
PATCH SCHEDULE
Picture
Does your board have a “one to one” patch like the image on the left, or do you have a patch schedule that looks like this to the right with the areas in order, with a Magic/Cheat Sheet to easily keep track of your lighting layout?
SUBS FOR HANDS-ON USAGE
Picture
Does your light board’s subs panel look blank like these on the left, or clearly labeled for customized hands-on use like these two boards on the right?
CATWALKS/BEAMS
Picture
Do your cat walks or beams usually look like the photo on the left or like the photo on the right?
If you answered Left, or I Don't Know, more than Right...
then a Rep Plot may be for you!
